The Cargill family is a wealthy American family, one of the richest in the world. They own 90% of Cargill, the largest privately-owned corporation in the United States. The family members are the descendants of William W. Cargill,〔 who founded the company in Iowa after the Civil War. The Cargill family owns 90% of the company.
